It’s an attractive design with a few flaws. The lid slams against the wall when opened, which is either going to annoy me until I get rid of it, or until it wears into the finish of the lid (and then I get rid of it). I have a feeling their touch top cans work better with this lid design.
The other issue is that the trash can doesn’t stay put very well. I’ve attempted to keep the lid from slamming agains the wall by pulling it away by an inch or so. This works until the can slides back into the wall after a few presses on the foot pedal.
You might be wondering if Simple Human is any better? In terms of the lid, the answer is yes, much better. But, they’re kinda ugly and Brabantia makes much prettier stuff. Also, my last Simple Human broke at the foot pedal so for now I’ll baby this can with light presses and hope for the best.

Love it so far. Our previous dual can broke after 3 years and I’m pretty happy with this replacement. Looks really good and the cans are easier to empty than our previous can. Love the lock feature that holds the lid up when you wand to take out the trash. Also these two bins seem to hold more than our last can which was the same size but had some handles that kind of got in the way. I like the uncluttered design of the can. Less to deal with for trash removal and bag loading.

Arrived with a small dent in the corner but otherwise a decent trashcan. I expected it to be more “high-end†for the price. It seems like a poor design having the bins only fit in properly if they’re rotated a certain way. Also doesn’t have a “hole†to shove the excess trash bag into to keep it in place, basically forcing you to use the custom size bags in order to take advantage of the beauty and functionality of the design. The open/close function is very smooth and I do appreciate the ability to have the lid stay open. The design is aesthetically very pleasing and simple and ultimately that is why I purchased.
